How to care for your Browbands and Halters

Proper care is critical to maximising the performance of your Bling Your GG Browband. It is a natural product and its life is reliant on maintaining a certain level of moisture.

Before you use your Browband or Halter

Prior to using your new browband or halter, it is recommended that you liberally dress your browband or halter with a Leather Balsam, allowing it to soak in overnight. The overnight process ensures maximum penetration into the leather to help seal in the moisture and protect your browband. Try to avoid getting any Leather Balsam on the crystals.

A Leather Balsam penetrates deeper into the leather and offers a surface barrier protecting against wear, water and sweat.

We do not recommend the use of oil on your Browband or Halter.

Cleaning your Browband or Halter

Your Browband or Halter should be regularly cleaned using glycerine saddle soap and a damp cloth to remove dirt. Cleaning should always be followed with a Leather Balsam. Try to avoid getting saddle soap or Leather Balsam on to the crystals.

Caring for your Crystals

Swarovski Crystal has a magical sparkle. However that sparkle and glimmer will begin to fade as dust settles in your beautiful Swarovski Crystal.

Try to avoid getting saddle soap or leather Balsam on your crystals. Use a clean damp cloth to wipe clean if need be to remove saddle soap or leather balsam.

To remove dust use a dry clean soft brush like a small paint brush or a make up brush. (Try and get one with cover to keep the bush clean in-between uses) Brush gently over the crystals to remove dust from between the crystals. You can also use a micro fibre cloth to gently polish the crystals.

If your Browband or Halter gets wet let it dry face down overnight in a hot water cupboard to make sure all water is removed then use Leather balsam to dress the Browband or Halter when dry.

Avoid contact with harsh, abrasive materials and glass/ window cleaners

Cover your Browband /Halter or keep it in a bridle bag when not in use to stop dust from settling on it.
